Plastic plating-What are the methods for surface treatment

Huizhou City Boluo Tenglong Technology Co., Ltd. wholeheartedly serves you! Mainly engaged in plastic water electroplating processing, accompanying plastic injection molding processing, mold processing and so on!

Common surface treatment processes include: spraying paint, electroplating, anodic oxidation, infiltration, oil spray, sandblasting

Spraying: Use pressure or electrostatic force to attach paint or powder to the surface of the workpiece to make the workpiece anti-corrosion and appearance decorative.

Baking paint: Apply primer and topcoat on the substrate, and send it to a dust-free and temperature-controlled baking room for baking for each application.

Electroplating: The process of using electrolysis to attach a layer of metal film to the surface of a metal or other material. It can prevent corrosion, improve wear resistance, electrical conductivity, light reflection and enhance appearance

Anodic oxidation: Electrochemical oxidation of metals or alloys. Use a metal or alloy part as an anode, and use electrolysis to form an oxide film on its surface. Metal oxide films change surface conditions and properties, such as surface coloring, improve corrosion resistance, enhance wear resistance and hardness, and protect metal surfaces.

Infiltration: It is a microporous (slit) infiltration sealing process. The sealing medium (usually a low-viscosity liquid) is penetrated into the pores (slits) through natural infiltration (i.e., self-aspiration of pores), vacuum and pressure, etc., the gaps are filled, and then the sealing medium in the gaps is cured through natural (room temperature), cooling or heating, etc., to achieve the effect of sealing the gaps.

Oil spray: Spray paint on the surface of the product and dry it naturally.

Sand blasting: It uses compressed air as power to form a high-speed jet beam to spray the material (Copper ore, quartz sand, diamond, iron sand, sea sand) is sprayed at high speed onto the surface of the workpiece to be treated, which changes the appearance or shape of the outer surface of the workpiece surface. Due to the impact and cutting effect of the abrasive on the surface of the workpiece, the surface of the workpiece obtains a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness, and the mechanical properties of the workpiece surface are improved. Therefore, the fatigue resistance of the workpiece is improved, the adhesion between it and the coating is increased, and the durability of the coating is extended. It is also conducive to the leveling and decoration of the paint.

Items before surface treatment

Polishing: Modification of the surface of a workpiece using flexible polishing tools and abrasive particles or other polishing media. Polishing cannot improve the size accuracy or geometric shape accuracy of the workpiece, but aims at obtaining a smooth surface or mirror luster, and is sometimes used to eliminate luster (extinction). A polishing wheel is usually used as a polishing tool. Polishing wheels are generally made of multiple layers of canvas, felt or leather, clamped on both sides with metal discs, and the rims are coated with a polishing agent made of a uniform mixture of fine powder abrasive and grease. During polishing, a high-speed rotating polishing wheel (circumferential speed above 20 meters/second) is pressed against the workpiece, so that the abrasive material rolls and micro-cuts the surface of the workpiece, thereby obtaining a bright machined surface. The surface roughness can generally reach Ra0.63~0.01 microns; When a non-oily extinction polishing agent is used, the bright surface can be extinguished to improve the appearance. When the product surface requirements are slightly lower, drum polishing method is often used. During rough polishing, a large amount of abrasive material and products are placed in a can-shaped roller. When the roller rotates, the product and abrasive material are randomly rolled and collided in the cylinder to achieve the purpose of removing surface bumps and reducing surface roughness.

Shot blasting: Use shot blasting machine and centrifugal force to project high-speed on the surface of the workpiece, especially to blast clean the dead corner of the inner cavity of the workpiece, so as to achieve the required brightness, cleanliness, roughness and strengthen the surface of the workpiece, greatly Improve the service life and aesthetics of the parts.

Ultrasonic cleaning uses the cavitation effect, acceleration effect and direct flow effect of ultrasonic waves in liquid to directly and indirectly affect liquid and dirt, so that the dirt layer is dispersed, emulsified and peeled to achieve the purpose of cleaning.
