The pearl chrome color in plastic plating
The pearl chromium in the electroplating color is a milky white crystal and non-luminous hue, with noble and elegant temperament.
It is called differently in different regions. It is called pearl chrome in China, fog chrome in the United States and European countries, dumb chrome in Japan, and satin chrome in Taiwan. Its color is similar to silver-white, hard, ductile and ferromagnetic metal elements, it can be highly polished and corrosion resistant. After being dissolved in nitric acid, it turns green.
The stability of pearl chrome plating in the air is very high. Because pearl chromium has a strong passivation ability, it can quickly form a very thin passivation film on the surface, which can resist the corrosion of the atmosphere, alkali and certain acids. Its crystal structure is extremely small, and it has excellent polishing performance.
The hardness of the pearl chrome plating layer is relatively high, which can improve the wear resistance of the surface of the product. Due to its higher chemical stability, some chemical equipment also uses a thicker pearl chromium layer to prevent corrosion by the medium.
Pearl chromium is suitable for use in particularly non-reflective auto parts, cameras, stereos, decorations, buttons, pens, motorcycles, optical equipment parts, etc. It has good uniformity.
