Huizhou Boluo Tenglong Technology Co., Ltd. serves you wholeheartedly! Mainly engaged in plastic hydroelectroplating processing, with plastic injection molding processing, mold processing and so on!
A motorcycle is usually composed of thousands of parts, large and small. Electroplating surface treatment technology can improve the wear resistance, self-lubrication and corrosion resistance of components by changing or adjusting the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of materials. Therefore, it is widely used in motorcycle metal parts and plastic parts, such as car shell, wheel hub, piston rod, engine cylinder, handlebar, fender, rim, exhaust pipe and other metal-plated substrate, as well as scooter shell, instrument, trademark, vehicle logo and other plastic substrate.
I. Classification and characteristics of electroplated coatings.
The classification and characteristics of electroplating are as follows: electroplating can be divided into three categories: protective, decorative and functional according to their functions.
1. Protective coating: as the name implies, this coating is used to prevent the corrosion of products and parts, and galvanized coating is usually used to protect the main steel parts in the motorcycle production process.
2. Protective-decorative coating: this kind of coating is the most widely used in motorcycle production process, and the processing process is more complex than protective coating, at least two layers or more. Such as motorcycle fenders, rims, horn handlebars, exhaust pipes, etc.; this coating not only looks good, but also can prevent the main parts from rust.
3. Functional coating: this coating is usually used on the friction surface of shaft parts, engine cylinders and piston rings, and chromium plating is generally adopted to increase the wear resistance of the main parts.
4. Other coatings: when producing tires, in order to increase the adhesion between steel wire and rubber during hot pressing, the general method is to plating copper and zinc alloy on the steel wire. Due to different uses, plating metals are also different, commonly used metals are zinc, copper, silver, lead, chromium, nickel, black chromium, black nickel and so on.
Application of Electroplating Surface treatment Technology in Motorcycle Devices.
1. The piston rod of motorcycle rear shock absorber has been paid more and more attention to improve its wear resistance and corrosion resistance by surface treatment technology because of its harsh use conditions. The domestic piston rod is usually plated with hard chromium directly on 45 steel. Although the coating has high hardness, low friction coefficient and good wear resistance, it tends to crack, and the hard chromium coating can not prevent corrosion before reaching 80 ~ 120 μ m. Therefore, the domestic piston rod is easy to corrosion and failure, and the service life is short. The piston rod is electroplated by semi-bright nickel / high sulfur nickel / bright nickel / hard chromium (three layers of nickel hard chromium) process (chemical deoiling "hydrochloric acid weak corrosion" cathodic electrolytic deoiling "anodic electrolytic deoiling" dilute sulfuric acid activation "semi-bright nickel" high sulfur nickel "bright nickel" preheating "hard chromium" dehydrogenation treatment). The surface of motorcycle shock absorber piston rod is not only corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant, but also decorative.
2. The requirements of high wear resistance and corrosion resistance on the inner surface of motorcycle aluminum alloy engine cylinder. A large number of research results show that Ni-SiC composite coating can replace hard chromium coating to effectively obtain functional coatings such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance and self-lubrication, and at the same time, reduce the manufacturing cost of aluminum alloy cylinder block by 20%-30%. It has good economic practicability in motorcycle engine application.
3. If the electroplated coating of the motorcycle is kept intact, the vehicle will look gorgeous. On the contrary, if the plated parts are rusted, scratched, sunken, then the whole car looks ugly, and further affects the rider's riding image. For some luxury large displacement imported motorcycle trademarks, exhaust pipes, wheels and other corrosion phenomena, because these parts are very difficult to buy, so the use of surface electroplating to renovate the original motorcycle parts is also an effective repair process. For example, the motorcycle wheel hub electroplating, the traditional baking paint process is changed into electroplating process, which can make the motorcycle wheel hub not only have beautiful surface, but also have good corrosion resistance.
III. Protective measures for commonly used electroplated motorcycle parts.
Most electroplated coatings are corrosive solutions that are stable in organic acids and can maintain luster for a long time. However, the following situations will cause corrosion of the plating layer, which requires attention and measures to be taken to protect it.
1. Avoid contact with salt, hydrochloric acid, bittern and other substances. Because the coating is easily dissolved in the above substances, it is necessary to avoid contact with 84 disinfectant, bleach, toilet cleaning and other substances.
2. Motorcycles should not be stored in places where there is gas, coal ball stove and soot. This is because carbon monoxide (CO) causes the coating to produce gray-black reticular cracks and rust.
3. Pay attention to the method of wiping. Usually, you only need to rub neutral oil on the electroplating layer of motorcycle parts once a week, such as sewing oil. Pay attention to wipe the dirt with a soft cloth every time you wipe the oil; wipe the dirt with clean water after driving on a rainy day; then wipe it with a soft cloth and finally dip it in the oil. When rubbing oil, do not touch the paint and tires to prevent paint loss and tire aging. If there is a water mist inside the instrument and other coatings, it should be dried with a hair dryer before wiping.
4. For the galvanized surface of the car strip, a dark gray basic zinc carbonate film is formed on the surface, which can effectively prevent the internal metal from being corroded, so it is not necessary to wipe and polish the dark gray galvanized surface when wiping, you can wipe some neutral oil to protect it.
5. For the wiping of plastic electroplated parts, you can only use a soft cloth dipped in clean water (warm water), not in engine oil, because that will destroy the coating of plastic electroplated parts.
6. For plated parts such as exhaust pipes, fenders and rims, the dirt can not be brushed with steel wire brushes, because the brush wires of steel wire brushes will scratch the surface of the coating. Use clean water to loosen the mud bubble and then wipe it according to the above method. If it is not loose, use wooden bars to remove dirt gently.
