Plastic plating-the function of electroplating.
Huizhou Boluo Tenglong Technology Co., Ltd. serves you wholeheartedly! Mainly engaged in plastic hydroelectroplating processing, with plastic injection molding processing, mold processing and so on!
The technology of electrolysis is used to deposit metal coatings with good adhesion but different properties and substrate materials on mechanical products. The electroplating layer is more uniform than the hot-dip layer and is generally thinner, ranging from a few microns to dozens of microns. Through electroplating, decorative protective and various functional surface layers can be obtained on mechanical products, and worn and misprocessed workpieces can also be repaired.
In addition, it has different functions according to all kinds of electroplating needs. Examples are as follows:
1. Copper plating: used as a base to improve the adhesion and corrosion resistance of electroplated coating.
two.. Nickel plating: bottom use or appearance to improve corrosion resistance and wear resistance (in which chemical nickel is more wear-resistant than chromium plating in modern processes).
3. Gold plating: improve conductive contact impedance and enhance signal transmission.
4. Palladium and nickel plating: improve conductive contact impedance, enhance signal transmission, wear resistance is higher than gold.
5. Tinned lead: improve welding ability and will soon be replaced by other substitutes (because most of the lead is changed to bright tin and foggy tin).
Electroplating is a method of laying a layer of metal on a conductor based on the principle of electrolysis.
In addition to conductors, electroplating can also be used on specially treated plastics.
The process of electroplating is basically as follows:
Connect the plated metal to the anode.
The object to be electroplated is connected to the cathode.
The cathode and anode are connected by an electrolyte solution consisting of positive ions of the plated metal.
After being supplied with direct current, the metal in the anode is oxidized (loses electrons), and the positive ions in the solution are reduced (electrons are obtained) to form atoms and accumulate on the surface of the cathode.
The aesthetics of the plated object after plating has something to do with the size of the current. The smaller the current is, the more beautiful the plated object will be; otherwise, some uneven shapes will appear.
The main uses of electroplating include preventing metal oxidation (such as corrosion) and decoration. The outer layer of many coins is also electroplated.
The sewage produced by electroplating (such as ineffective electrolytes) is an important source of water pollution. The electroplating process has been widely used in the lead frame of semiconductor and microelectronic components.
VCP: vertical continuous electroplating. At present, the new machine used for circuit boards has better quality than traditional suspended electroplating.
