vacuum plating-plating process

Plastic plating-vacuum plating-plating process.
Vacuum electroplating, also known as vacuum evaporation, is a method of heating metal in a high vacuum, melting and evaporating it, and forming a metal film on the plastic surface after cooling. The commonly used metals are low melting point metals such as aluminum.
The method of heating metal: you can use either the heat generated by the resistance or the electron beam.
When evaporating plastic products, in order to ensure that the heat emitted by the metal during cooling does not deform the resin, the evaporation time must be adjusted. In addition, metals or alloys with too high melting point and boiling point are not suitable for evaporation.
The metal to be plated and the plastic to be plated are placed in the vacuum chamber, and the material to be plated is heated by a certain method to make the metal evaporate or sublimate, and the metal vapor condenses into a metal film on the surface of the cold plastic product.
Under vacuum conditions, the collision of atoms and molecules of evaporating materials with other molecules in the process of flying to plastic products can be reduced, and the chemical reactions (such as oxidation, etc.) between active molecules in gas and evaporation source materials can be reduced. thus, the density, purity, deposition rate and adhesion of the film are provided. Usually, vacuum evaporation requires that the pressure in the film-forming chamber is equal to or less than 10-2Pa, and the pressure is even lower (10-5Pa) when the evaporation source and the quality of the plated products and films are very high.
The thickness of the coating is 0.04-0.1um is too thin, low reflectivity, too thick, poor adhesion, easy to fall off. The reflectivity is 90% when the thickness is 0.04.
