There are two common electroplating processes for plastic products: water electroplating and vacuum ion plating.
1. Water and electricity plating.
Generally suitable for ABS material, ABS+PC material products. The main process is to put the products that need electroplating into the electroless plating solution for electroplating.
According to the different needs of customers, can be plated into different colors, with highlight silver, sub-silver, gray silver. Because the conductivity of the electroplated product is significantly enhanced, what about some parts that need to be insulated? There are two ways: first, apply insulating oil to the parts that need to be insulated, so that the parts will not be electroplated when electroplating, so as to achieve the insulation effect! Of course, the part coated with insulating oil will turn black, so it is not suitable for appearance. Second, the parts that need electroplating are pasted with special adhesive tape and protected, so as to achieve the effect of insulation.
two.. Vacuum plating.
Generally applicable to a wide range of products, such as ABS material, ABS+PC material, PC material. At the same time, because of its complex technological process, high requirements of environment and equipment, the unit price is lower than that of hydropower plating. This paper briefly introduces its technological process: product surface cleaning, static electricity removal-- > spray primer-- > baking primer-- > vacuum coating-- > spray coating-- > baking topcoat-- > packaging.
Vacuum plating is divided into general vacuum plating, UV vacuum plating, vacuum plating special; the process includes evaporation, sputtering, gun color and so on.
