Plastic Chrome Plating Process
1. Direct chromate chromium plating
Using the chromic acid solution for chromium plating is simple and easy to operate, but the color of the coating is greenish and the adhesion is poor.
2. Corner chromate chrome plating
Based on direct chromate chromium plating, first plating a layer of metallic copper can improve adhesion.
3. Water-soluble resin chromate chromium plating
Add water-soluble resin to the plating solution to enhance the mechanical strength of the coating.
4. Electroless chrome plating
The chromium layer is deposited by a reduction reaction in solution without the use of electric current.
5. Middle plating chrome plating
Plating an intermediate layer such as nickel or copper first, and then chromium plating can improve adhesion.
6. Anodized chrome plating
An insulating middle layer is formed through anodization to improve the adhesion of the coating.
7. Laser pre-treatment
Use the laser to micro-etch the ABS surface to increase adhesion.
