The method for electroplating plastic chromium includes copper-tin alloy plating on a conductive plastic substrate, primary water washing, palladium plating, secondary water washing and chromium plating. Both the primary water washing and the secondary water washing include at least one washing operation, wherein at least one washing operation is performed. The temperature of the water washing operation is not less than 30°C. The method for chromium electroplating on plastic provided by the present invention can effectively improve the bonding force of the coating, and effectively prevent the copper-tin coating, the palladium coating and the trivalent chromium coating from blistering and skinning. It can also effectively reduce the pinhole phenomenon on the surface of the coating, and increase the product qualification rate to as high as 95%.
