The difference between bright chromium plating and hard chromium plating. 

Bright chromium plating is mainly for decoration, while hard chromium plating is mainly functional. 

The thickness of decorative chromium plating is only 0.1-0.5 microns, while that of hard chromium is often tens of thousands of microns. 

Electroplating hexavalent out is pure chromium layer, relatively dense, blue-white, trivalent electroplating is ferrochrome, iron is very small, but there are still, the coating is relatively porous, is some sub-white, or dark white, because one is pure chromium, one is alloy chromium, that is the difference!
